5 Awesome Portraits Ideas You Can Try at Home

Many of us are still stuck at home to one degree or another, but that does not mean we have to stop being creative. If you are at home with someone else, grab them and try out these five fantastic ideas for portraits.

Coming to you from our good friend, Pye Jirsa, with SLR Lounge, this great video tutorial will show you five different ideas for portraits you can try at home. One of the great things about working around the house is that there is often a wide variety of different lights and patterns, ranging from soft, diffused light, to hard, patterned light that can create interesting textures across your subject. Furthermore, as you can see in the video, beyond finding a variety of different types of light, you can also use common objects like plants as props or to create interesting compositions that frame your subject in a compelling way. Even if you are not doing it for professional purposes, it is a great chance to take this downtime to develop your technique and explore new creative ideas that you can have ready when things return to normal. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Jirsa.
