The video is absolutely full of great tips, but one to pay particular attention to is using a tripod. You probably do not usually shoot your portraits using a tripod, but in this case, it will make your post-processing work a lot easier. Since you will be compositing leaves into the final shot, by using a tripod and keeping the framing exactly the same each time, you can easily brush in the leaves in Photoshop without having to worry about ultra-precise masking to avoid showing a shifting background or weird perspective issues, which will save you a ton of time in the editing process and produce a better final result.
