Driving the back roads of Kentucky horse country never fails to please. The rolling pastoral expanses of the myriad horse farms, crossed by plank fences, lined with oaks, locusts and sweetgum trees offer many opportunities to draw the eye in appreciation. On one recent drive, I came upon this horse farm with its own practice track. This is common among the larger, more affluent farms. The difference this time was the generous splash of warm light as the sun began to press into the horizon and end another day. I couldn't just keep this gentle sight to myself, so I grabbed my camera.

Congratulations to the winners!
Love the soft light although the highlights are severly burnt out. But that's not bad.
Jens. Thank you. Yeah, I set my white point there, obviously. I toyed with darkening that area to make it more saturated, but didn't like the result.
Great lines!
Hans. Thank you.
