Last year, my friend's fiance surprised him with a pool party for his birthday at the picturesque Filoli Gardens. Once all the cake was eaten and the guests had left, we chilled by the pool while he gave me pointers on astrophotography. While I may not have been equipped with a wide prime lens, I managed to catch this incredible reflection on the still pool.
While the best camera is the one you have with you, this experience made me hungry to come back next year better equipped for what the universe has to throw at me. Plus, it was the best dang view of the stars that you can get in the Bay Area.
