Reason for my 2 vote - I know this critique is night and this is obviously that but without some more foreground this looks like a "floating head" photo except it's a building. Also for me there is too much sky above the building causing the building to be lost in the photo. I like the concept.
Thanks Douglas for your open critique. I know what you mean. The reason I gave this shot the space above the building was that this, for me was the more interesting subject - the beam of light into the night.
But, as said, I know what you’re ciritique refers to.
