I like the DOF, but I not sure if it's a necessarily interesting subject from this particular angle. Perhaps a different angle could make it more abstract? I'm not really sure what this subject is, so part of me thinks something a little more abstract might help. I hope that makes sense!

How about going vertical and shifting the focus slightly higher. Btw, I have no idea what that is... but I don't mind - that's what macro is about, isn't it? 😆
