El Nino storms on the California Coast are a real exciting phenomenon to witness, plus they have the added effect of clearing the beach of almost all other beachgoers. On this particular morning, I had this rocky tidepool table almost entirely to myself, as I watched the seas crash around me and completely overflow the area. The clouds parted for a brief moment and a beam of sunlight shined on the water, before grey skies and rain once again overtook the scene.

That's a very powerful image of the ocean. Must be amazing when printed real big.
Victoria Beach.
Nothing is more satisfying for a local photographer than going down to what is usually a super-crowded spot in the middle of a storm, and having the place all to yourself as the storm clears for just a moment... :-D
I love the texture all across the scene!
