I think a longer lens could have focused on he center mountain and the boat, that's where most of the interest seems to be. Perhaps a crop could give the same effect, if you have enough megapixels.
I agree with this. I think a crop along with brightening the boat a touch could make for an fantastic image!
or maybe crop it thin like a panorama?
