Snowmobiling through the vast arctic landscape of Svalbard during sunset was breathtaking, to say the least. Our Canadian guide Kristoffer was pretty awesome. He kept everyone safe, told stories along the way, brought food and hot beverages, and even did a field repair of a broken drive belt on one of the snowmobiles. Understandably, every snowmobile has a spare drive belt included for safety. As expected, we did not get to see any polar bears along the way. Even if there were any bears in the vicinity, they are really hard to spot in the endless landscape of ice and snow. We did however see some reindeer and a seal :)
