One of the many otherworldly things to witness in Death Valley.
Zabriskie Point is an area of ancient lake beds deposited 5-10 million years ago. These beds have been tilted and pushed upward by earth forces and eroded by wind to form these incredible patterns. The color you see is likely due to the Borates and Gypsum content, with the sunset adding a lovely bluish-purple hue.
Great landscape shot but I don’t see the “adventure”...
