I think this image is great! Only reason I can imagine the current rating is because of the blown out left side but it kind of adds to the image to me for some reason. The feel of this one seems more adventurous than most of the others I've seen so far. Great job!
Thanks, I appreciate that. It was definitely a conscious choice to blow out the left side, trying to have it sort of a dreamy summer day. People also may not realize how hard this angle is to get. It was also a few years ago and early in my photography and was actually just shot as a JPEG. If i was to get really picky, I wish the surfer was sharper and I wish the people in the boat were looking more fun and smiling etc.
