By the lava path

On the way to the highest point of Portugal. The Pico mountain is on the island of Pico, in the Azores. It is a dormant volcano that rises to an imposing 2351 meters. The only way to get to the top is by a winding 3-kilometer trail, with an elevation of 1121 meters, made of stone and volcanic ash.
