The only thing that prevents me from feeling like this is actual romance or love, is the fact that it looks like they are trying to sell whatever the package is on the front of the counter. Not a bad shot if you are an aspiring commercial photographer, but not the most convincing “romantic” photo.
If the purpose of this photo is to sell the mix in front of them, then this photo is even more confusing. I doubt a distributor is going to like their product being out of focus. If the purpose is more lifestyle photography and not about the product, then maybe having just generic baking items (like flour spread out, whisks, etc.) would have been a better option. The couple and composition are fine, just the overall concept is confusing.
