Inside The Pylon. These metal beasts carry electricity around the countryside, the lifeblood of our technology. This particular pylon is over 50 years old. It predates home computers, HDTVs and mobile phone chargers by decades, but it still feeds them now.

The exposure is strange IMHO.

I agree! It was taken on an old(ish) Fuji X100 and on a very bright sunny day. It was very spur of the moment. It's not often you get to see a pylon from this angle so I snapped a quick shot.

I don't think this meets the theme "Technology is constantly changing but it always requires good imagery to sell" but I think it is a well composed shot.

Thanks for the compliment. I guess I agree regarding the theme. I'm still quite new to this community and not sure how stringent the rules are, or how open to interpretation the theme is. I think the pylon from this angle looks a bit like a tunnel, and there's a feeling of moving forwards into it. I also think Pylons carry electricity into our homes and are therefore (in a way) the lifeblood of technology. So I put the two together and hoped the image would be judged as my interpretation of the theme.

I've added a caption now so hopefully people will see where I'm coming from and not get cross with me! Many thanks for your feedback.
