2.27 - "Needs Work"

Title: Dam It
I used an IR filter on an unmodified camera which worked as a ND filter as well. The shutter speed was 30 seconds.

Any feedback about what needs work would be most appreciated.

Hi Joe -- I voted this image a 2 because - - well, damn, it is an interesting structure, so I would propably try to bring out the structure (especially the bridge part) a little bit more. Maybe by trying out a different angel (if possible), trying to shoot it a more from "up front". Also, the long exposure effect is barely noticable since the flowing water blends in too much with the concrete of the damn itself - you can barely make it out (maybe the color version is better in that respect). The log lying on the verge of the damn is a little distracting since half of it is completely black, which also goes for the water on the bottom of the damn which lies in the shadow (and which would make the long exposure more noticable if it wasn´t). Hope that helps a little.

Hi Heiko,
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I see what you mean. I don't know that I can change the angle that much but I think its worth trying to re-shoot this spot and try to implement some of your suggestions.

Best Regards,
Joe
