2.21 - "Needs Work"

I spent a year traveling for work. While in Kansas, I was searching for somewhere to shoot after a decent snowfall. Living in GA for the previous 3 years, it had been awhile since I had played in snow. This is at Geary Falls. I was blessed to be the only person venturing into the cold, slick stuff this day. I walked through that river in my shoes for this shot, so I hope you like it.

This is a really cool set of falls. Love how you can make out all the steps in the rock even from this far back.
I gave you a 2.5 (lets be real I gave you a 3, yay for rounding).
You've obviously thought about using the river as a lead into your subject (the falls) which is great! The light adds some interest backlighting the trees and cresting the waterfall. I feel that your composition could've been better though, the brush/sticks to the right are not very photogenic and they cover some of the falls.
This would be an entirely different story if there was beautiful frost covered evergreens on the right hand side too, obviously mother nature decided different!

JD, thanks for your thoughtful feedback. I definitely agree with the brush on the right not truly adding anything. Unfortunately, the scene isn't as interesting in front of the brush, so it left me with a decision. Thanks again!
