Though a similar theme and execution, this one I love far more than the onion-skin one. Thought I'd try to put into words why... This one semes more artistic and has a clearer (to me) focus. I think the corrugated tube of the onion one gives more a 'science text' vibe and seems just more about the texture than a clear focal object. (Hard to articulate those initial gut reactions, but hope that helps.)
Thank you! I prefer this of the two myself, and have it hanging in my entryway. I am both bothered and enjoy the stem of the leaf leaving the frame. I can never decide which reaction is stronger!
