I'm spoiled by the flora in Vancouver. Not only do I have access almost year round to a huge variety of species, but they're also so abundant that I can pick through them for individuals with the best posture, colour, and state of furl or unfurl. They're also often speckled with raindrops like catchlights. This beauty leapt out at me off its nice homogeneous green background.

I think the dof is too shallow.
I really like this one Jon! For me, the little curve around of the one petal gives it a human element, like a person's arm hugging themselves in comfort. Really nice.
