First shot of the 2019/20 ski season! It's been unusually dry here in Whistler, BC...we're usually swimming in deep powder by now. That means we have to work extra hard to try and make ski shots look awesome. Luckily I shoot with some of the best in the biz. Here Eli Bucher nails the classic skier turn position, dead on where I told him to be. I don't have many backlit silhouette shots in my portfolio, so I was stoked this turned out.

Yes! Great capture, Craig!
Nice lines and silhouette !!!
This is fantastic in my book. Grew up a patrol brat so I've been seeing ski photos my entire life. There is so much good about this shot, I could see it being used anywhere from a promo, to a lodge image, to a poster on my brothers wall. Great moment to capture - position to powder dust, beautiful. Only problem: I want to be there!
Great shot! Love the light and the composition! Good job by the skier too. Not always easy for the skier and photographer to be on the same page. And yes I can’t believe what a poor snow year it’s been so far (I’m a sea-to-sky guy too). Pray for snow!
