In January 2017, Danube river was frozen from temperatures of -20°C for over a month. This is an image of a Danube river distributary in town of Kovin, Serbia.
The Ice was so thick you could walk on, and in Vienna, and Budapest where Danube is narrower, people skated on Danube and other smaller rivers and lakes.
