This is a shot from my first digital camera, a Nikon D50 that I got at a Wal Mart. I actually broke that camera during this shoot (the wind blew my tripod over about half an hour after I got this image). It's different from most landscape pictures I take in that I used a long lens. I always kind of feel like I'm cheating when I use a longer focal length—it's so much easier for me to find a clear composition when I'm zoomed in. I didn't really have any of that insecurity when I was starting out; I just saw things that looked cool and shot them. I still think this picture looks cool. This is what December looks like along Otter Cliffs in Acadia National Park in Maine, where I grew up.
