Great sunset. There are nice elements, but you need a story. A long exposure of taillights leaving a trail as they pull out of the parking lot and drive away could imply going home, for example.
Thank you for the advice. I am at this area very often and will play around with long exposure to see what results I can get. I got into photography a year ago and this is my first attempt in a contest so I welcome any advice.
There's light back there but it's not truly backlit. Backlighting typically has some sort of highlight around the rim of the subject... a simplified explanation.
