Photos of Joy

This is probably my favorite image I ever took. Little story behind this photo : Ty Nikdy Label is a Czech rap group which I'm fan of since childhood. In 2018 they were recording their newest album and invited me to document the whole process. We spend several days at the cottage in the woods and then went to Berlin for a week to record the album in RedBull Music Studios, it was a great experience for me. My photos were used as a cover and booklet for the album. Then we went on a Tour around Czech and Slovak Republic. Ty Nikdy was nominated in Anděl awards (biggest music awards in Czech Republic) for the best rap album of the year. One of the members Paulie Garand (right on the photo) released his solo album later in 2018. This photo was taken at the christening (release party) of Paulie's album in March 2019. The same night Anděl awards were held and all of the members of Ty Nikdy Label were at the concert except Idea (left on the photo) who attended the awards. We didn't know how the Anděl awards went and suddenly Idea ran on the stage with the statue in his hand and whole venue went nuts, it was just perfect moment and I was very lucky that I was standing on a stage and was able to capture this BIG moment. For me this photo represents the work all of us put in the album, tour etc. I will remember this forever.
