This was taken along the Au Sable River in the Huron National Forest in Michigan. The image was captured from a cliff above the river.

The lens used was a AF-S DX VR Zoom-NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED

Nice scene. might need some post production to pop it a bit.

While editing I would have made the shadows a little more pronounced to add contrast. Yet again the colors are really nice and its a beautifully view!

I gave this 2 stars because I don't think it is portfolio level. Its a bit boring. Nothing strikes me as unique/interesting to look at. The foreground is trees, middle-ground is trees and water, background is trees and sky. Needs something else.

The color is a bit over saturated for my taste and makes the trees look like a green blob. Some post production that brought out the different colors in the trees would make a big difference.

The time of day isn't great, scout nice spots by day, then come back and shoot at sunrise or sunset.
