A Nepalese kid from Hindu School (Bhagwat Sanyaas Aashram Gurukul) taking a holy bath after performing ritual offering during Janai Purnima festival also known as Rakchhya Bandhan at Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu. During Janai Purnima people from Bhraman and Chhetri community change their Janai (a sacred thread). Similarly people from other communities get tied a Doro (sacred colorful thread) around their wrist. It is assumed that this thread protect people from diseases and misfortune. While most of the young people are enjoying modern life these days, there are still few Hindu families and students who are following the rigorous methods of worshipping their god to keep the tradition alive.
