This wonderfully designed staircase can be found in London's Tate Modern extension (the Blavatnik building by architects Herzog & deMeuron). The image is a composite of 2 images, both taken handheld. One image is the base exposure with some highlights and shadow adjustments, some of them locally. The second shot is just for the guy on the stairs to provide some scale, composited in with photoshop.
