In protecting the Dayton area from criminal activity, Detective Jorge Del Rio passed away while serving its people. As many know Dayton loves its heroes, and when faced with tragedy, its people always find a classy and resilient response to heart-breaking news. On this twilight evening and under spectacular skies, Dayton saluted Detective Del Rio by illuminating the city in blue hues. The blue towers are part of a summer-time fountain structure where at 800' across and 200' high forms one of the world's largest fountains.
