I shot this for my friends album art. I wanted to recreate a parody of the religious troupe, "Madonna and Child", so I dressed them up an placed them in my buddy's warehouse. I thought the juxtaposition of imagery that is so sacred combined with the modernity and chaos of the warehouse would add parody to the image. As far as the bands costumes go, I made a halo for Mary out of piping, washers and bolts and my friend made a crown of needles for him to wear as Jesus. I then dressed the other two up as witnesses in togas.

Love it.
Shows how men also can be gentle, caring, in need of mother or father.
Only note is just think the floor is too much, might be cropped more for square or landscape. I just don't look at it enough to keep so much of it. But hey, who cares. I love the work and the creepy needles. I don't even think it is disturbing to see a man as Mary, he works the role well and he is not coming across as making fun of it, so it all works.
