The expression is a winner. If the background/stairs was cleaned up or perhaps the image was dropped in really tight, your image would get a much higher score.
Id rather the image tell a story. Provide a better glimpse of a moment in time. Photos are often viewed as a way to remember a moment past. The need to perfect, and over manufacture a photo should be reserved for commercial use. Im not selling anything with a photo, just sharing a story.
