Black and White Portraits

This image was taken almost entirely by accident. I was using a 60mm macro lens without autofocus to photograph some leaves off the side of a trail in the woods when I stepped back and one of the people I was with stepped in front of me, in that moment I saw this picture and happened to snap it just in time. I tried to recreate it as best I could after I saw how it turned out to try and nail the focus, but none of the other pictures I took that day were able to recapture the subtle emotion or movement of the hair displayed in this photograph.
