Social distancing and lockdowns gave me the opportunity to really start experimenting with off-camera lighting. This shot of my daughter was born from her recent interest in the Disney fairy movies.

I have a number of mushroom shots taken during an Alaska trips several years back and the idea came to place her in the landscape. I setup a high stool with green screen backdrop in the living room and used two RGB lights to control the WB. Luckily, she was in a cooperative mood.

It took a few tries to get the angle right and I blended the images with Photoshop thereafter. My Ps skills are still developing, however, my wife and most importantly, my daughter were pretty happy with the final result.

Now, she's in a Raya and the Last Dragon phase, so the next shoot may explore that theme and world.
