Porters carry rations while walking on the frozen Zanskar river in Ladakh, India. The 'Chadar', or literally, fabric of ice trek is an extreme weather trek that can be undertaken when the Zanskar river freezes over in the winter season of India. Villages along the Zanskar region then use this frozen river as a means of transport as the roads are cut off by walls of snow.
