Plunge into the Wild. A lone surfer braves the wild waves crashing onto Rodeo Beach in the Headlands of Marin County, CA. While shooting macro shots of plants along the coast I noticed this surfer preparing to enter the waves. I set myself up on part of the hillside with a good view of the beach, switch over to my 18-140mm lens (which I was carrying just in case as many whales pop up along the coast there) and took a series of shots including those I turned into this panorama. It was 1:50 PT on a November afternoon so while the sun was still up it was lower on the horizon and was casting a wonderful yellow light into the bay.
