I waited into the late evening hours for this eastbound Amtrak Empire Builder to pass through in the abandoned town of Gaynor, WA just east of the Cascade Mountain crest of Stevens Pass. It's a 7-shot panoramic image which was preshot moments before the train arrived then repositioned to capture the train as it went over to complete the scene. Nikon D750 with 11-18mm Tamron at 15mm f/8 ISO 1000 1/160s. I could have lowered the shutter and therefor lowered the ISO but it turned out to have enough range and low noise. Interestingly, this is by far my most-stolen shot on the internet.
