This little boy was not having any of the Santa Hat his mom had placed on his head, I managed to get this shot right before it came off capturing the look he was giving Mom! Thankfully the family loved this one and the others we got with nice happy smiles!
We were on a trail close to the ocean yet it was still out of view, The sun was setting and the fog was rolling in yielding even lighting. I was using a Nikon D850 with a Nikon SB-700 Speedlight with a small Vello Mini-Softbox over the end of the flash. My lens was the Tamron 70-200mm, f/2.8 Di VC USD G2, set at f/2.8, 1/640 sec., ISO 2000 and 200mm Focal Length.
