This image of a living Chinese mantis is the most detailed I have ever captured. The high magnification 96-frame focus bracket shows a unique view of the hexagonal structure of the complex eyes.

I used the focus bracketing feature with my OM-1 and M.Zuiko 90mm Macro IS PRO to get all the frames. This mantis was in the grass, so I was able to set the camera directly on the ground for increased stabilization.

I captured the frames at 10fps thanks to the quick recycling time of my Godox V860III. The flash was diffused by a Cygnustech diffuser.
