2.7 - "Solid"

This year we spent about four weeks in Namibia, most of the time in the Caprivi area. Our highlights were six days on the Namibian side of the Kwando and Chobe river. This was my opportunity to photograph quite a number of different species of birds throughout the day - with my favourites being the beautifully colored carmine pints. Fortunately, these birds were visiting a tree right in front of our hut (close to the Chobe river bank) on a regular basis. Using the precapture feature of my OM-1 I was finally able to freeze the moment when one of these birds took off from the tree.

gear: OM-1 (OM Digital Solutions), Panasonic Leica 100-400
parameters: 400mm, F/7.1, 1/3200s, ISO 1250
raw to jpg: DxO Photolab
