I got lucky one morning with a moose crossing an open spot right as the sun was first coming over the peaks. There's not really a "golden hour" in the mountains - rather blue hour lasts forever and then, by the time the sun gets over the peaks, it's already harsh. So backlight was my plan and I found a background still in shadow. I zoomed out so I could capture the whole body with the strong backlight. In post, I darkened the background a bit more and shifted the greenish plants to more of a yellow (In my memory, everything was gold since I was shooting into the sun).
