Photographing a grassroots motorsport event, I was walking towards the paddock and noticed a Bald Eagle flying pretty low. As I continued to focus on the bird, I saw how it landed nearby so being curious I walked towards where I saw it land and as I approached noticed not just one but three eagles surrounding a carcass- two adults with their distinctive definitive plumage and one with its 4th year plumage (visible in this image). While observing them, the younger eagle fought-off the two adults and had kept the meal all to itself, until the vultures came and then it was the young eagles duty to protect it's food. Taken with a Canon R5 and Sigma 150-600mm lens with some LR adjustments and sharpening with Topaz.
