This Great Egret was captured using Nikon D500 with the Nikon 200-500mm lens at a nearby estuary that annually has many migratory birds passing through. This day was totally overcast and there were several of these magnificent birds dropping in. Camera settings were: f/5.6, 1/1250 sec., ISO 400 and lens at 500mm.
