Image shot from Summit One Vanderbilt in NYC. The black and white edit gave this scene almost an ethereal feel which helps set the mood for the photo. The window cleaning platform helped give the shot a sense of scale and it’s what I like the most about the photo. Taken with a Sony a7r3 and a Tamron 28-75mm

Try cropping out the left building because my eye goes directly to it. I think the window washing platform should be the emphasis which tells the story and shows the grandness and scale of the buildings.

Great tip Joshua! Now that you mention it you’re right, the left building is perhaps too bright for the scene, drawing your eye first.

I suggest trying to darken the left building before cropping. I like the composition now (except for the black bit at very edge of frame on left building-crop or retouch out). You could also darken right building or lighten central one to bring more attention to the platform. Perhaps bumping contrast on central building too in addition to lightening?

Great feedback Cameron, I like the idea of darkening the left building in lieu of cropping. I'll mess with a couple versions of it, but i appreciate the critique.
