This was taken at a traditional Pakistani wedding in Centennial, Colorado. Everyone was dressed in the most gorgeous clothes with shiny bits embroidered into everything. I shot this image in a brief moment between different parts of the reception pageantry when the bride was finally able to sit down for a moment. The detail in every single thing in the room was capture in a microcosm in the brides own hands. Shot with a Nikon Z fc / Nikkor Z DX 18-140mm f/3.5-6.3 (30mm, 1/125th, f4.0, ISO1400).

I always think of 'wedding photography' as images that show the two people, who just married, together.
