This image is part of a miniseries of self-portraits inspired by a mix of my nightmares.
It was shot in my studio using a 4-light setup: one big soft light with a blue gel above my head, one lamp on the ground pointing at me with an orange gel, and a strip softbox on each side, one with a yellow gel and the other with a white gel.
Shot on Nikon D850 with 85mm 1.4 lens at f16
I'm also a 3D generalist, and I created the overall effect of the ocean, the skulls, and the swords using Cinema 4D. I then composited everything together in Photoshop, with some minor detail tweaking using AI.
This is a very personal image to me, and I hope you like it and that it captures your attention in some way.
