I was dreaming and searching for a small house near nature and water for over 20 years, and finally in 2018 I was able to buy something. In the first few weeks when I saw the sun setting in my new garden, I thought 'hwo awesome would it be to capture a kingfisher emerging from the water during a sunset. It took about 4 years of creating a pond, a lot of trial and error but finally after 4 years I managed to make a few good shots. And that sun is traveling very fast when you are waiting for the kingfisher to dive.
Nikon Z7 Nikkor 200mm/f2.0 @f5.0, 1/6400sec, natural back lit by the setting sun.
Common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis), free and wild bird, emerging from the water with a fish.
Good shot
Thank you Don!
