Street portrait taken after the 2nd big COVID lock down was done in Shanghai, China. I was walking around seeing how businesses were opening up, some of these places had been closed for a month or two, if not longer, with no warning. So food was rotting in the fridges, rats had been running wild, mold and dirty everywhere. This man was cleaning the kitchen in his restaurant. Shanghai gets real hot and humid in the summer as well, so he's firing all his burners trying to burn off all the dirt in 35c and with humidity that feels like you're just walking inside a cloud, dripping wet.
I was standing on the street, i saw him moving around in there, trying to get a candid but he saw me just as a came around the corner. This is the shot.
