The waters of Khor Al Dahariz are surrounded by dense reed plants ranging in length from
(3-10) meters, which made it a good place for the reproduction of many birds in this area, as approximately 80 species of birds have been recorded living in this creek. This creek is located on the eastern borders of Salalah, with open water extending for approximately one kilometer, and is characterized by the presence of a moderate diversity of fish that are regularly connected to the sea water through the sand barrier. The western bank of this creek has been designated as a tourism area due to its area and good location for trips. The management plan for this creek allows for its partial fencing and the eradication and control of invasive plant species.
