about how this photo was taken. The backdrop was handmade hand painted on canvas. I took 3 flash photos with a circular grid and orange gel. Shot straight into the background. Then they were layered and blended in photoshop.

Next I took a styrofoam mannequin head and shot three images from varying distances, using flash shot for each capture, I also used a different colored gels each time.

I took those heads into photoshop into layers. adjusted, and used different blending modes.

dropped dehaze slide a bit, and added a bit of clarity.

I listened to Chapterhouse- Whirlpool while doing this project. It fits the mood!
