The Fisherman was taken before sunrise on the Cape Hatteras, NC National Seashore. It captures the moment with the most tension- between the powerful cast of the bait & the peace of the mellow morning light. Although this photo has a fairly simple composition, several smaller elements, such as the water breaking above his left leg, serve to animate the photo.
