While traveling in the countryside of North Yorkshire, England, I was struck by this partially dead tree standing alone in the open fields. It was a particularly windy day and I wondered how long it had been there despite the elements. I found a spot between the bushes and trees that I could get a shot of it, which acted as a frame in a way.

I used my Sony A6700 and Sony E 55-210mm lens. Afterwards I made the image black and white to accentuate the dramatic clouds and mood.
