Taken early in the morning on my first visit to Whistler in North America. This mountain village, former site of the 2010 Winter Olympics, offered me a magnificent sight on this early October morning hike. As I passed one of its high-altitude lakes, I was able to immortalize the peaceful life of a few locals who had come to enjoy the calm and the scenery on a mirror-like lake. I purposefully oriented my photo in this direction to take advantage of the lake's mirror effect and create a surreal effect. This composition, with its vibrant colors and bold contrasts, radiates calm and peacefulness.
